Modish Aspect

This commercial design project was conducted for Sheridan College. Students were tasked to create fictitious Advertising Agencies looking to expand into the energy sector in Calgary, Alberta. Creating a false history, branding, etc. to accompany this client, and aid in the creation of the overall project and concept. The concept the designs were built upon was: Vision/Integration, "Though the company is trying to get in the energy sector, they are a green company at heart. The concept decided upon was: Terra Contemporary, Merging of earth and modernization."

Floor Plan

The office was designed from the ground up with the intention of cultivating collaboration with an open floor plan, the office square footage is about 16,298 sq.ft. allowing one to move throughout the office with limited barriers while still providing functional hubs for independent work and group efforts. The space split between the common functional office space and the more executive area meant to hold important gatherings or meetings.

Reflected Ceiling Plan

The ceiling plan conveys various ceiling design elements, such as ceiling height changes, various finishes, lighting fixtures, and other features meant to develop the spatial experience both visually and functionally. Most finishes have some form of sound-dampening quality to aid in the control of noise level and reverberation. Most of the office is covered by a standard 2'x4' T-Bar grid, with more visually interesting features in the spaces more frequented by guests and potential clients.

Sectional Elevation

A view of the sectional elevation cutting through the occupied office space belongs to Modish Aspect; allowing for a more 3-dimensional view of the space in use with to-scale figures. With 3 separate renderings; one running the entire length of the space, then 2 other renderings cropped for a closer look at the scale and varying levels throughout the office.
